It's hard to imagine a world without music! Music enriches our lives, is vital for the development of a critical and creative conscience, and offers us new ways to feel, understand, interact and intervene constructively in society. Music has enormous potential to be an indispensable tool in terms of socio-cultural balance, in order to combat exclusion among citizens, while at the same time it can be a strategic asset in the context of the national and international creative economy.
These were the assumptions that motivated the creation of ORQUESTRA da COSTA ATLÂNTICA - associação de música e cultura, a non-profit cultural association based in Esposende, which develops its activity in the field of classical music.
ORQUESTRA da COSTA ATLÂNTICA - music and culture association, founded in 2015 by Ana Carolina Capitão and Luis Miguel Clementeis a professional organization that aims to create, promote and implement artistic and training projects that contribute to the cultural development of people and communities. The association operates as a catalyst for cooperation, articulation and dialog between music and the creative economy, in a sustained relationship with people, heritage and territory.
The Atlantic Coast Orchestra - a music and culture association - stands out for the quality, innovation, diversity and creativity of its national and international projects.
To position the Orquestra da Costa Atlântica - Associação de Música e Cultura as a national and international reference in the field of classical music, namely in musical interpretation, orchestral conducting, artistic training of young musicians, and the development and qualification of people.
The mission of the Atlantic Coast Orchestra - a music and culture association - is to raise awareness, enrich, inspire and transform lives through classical music, and to contribute to the cultural development of the area in which it operates.
